Just about got through Series 1 - gave up in Series 2. Tried Series 3 on Netflix after hearing it had improved. It hasn't. Its really dull, lacks wit, some boring characters, some (really really) annoying characters....the pacing and direction plods too. I imagine most of the actors will go onto better things. Its uniformly joyless. I'm willing to bet there will be no movie franchise coming from this. It's a dead end. It doesn't feel like Star Trek at all and is a misfit in the canon. I liked everything Trek previously but this is not entertaining I'm afraid. You'd be much better watching The Orville - which is more Trek like entirely, even though it has some Galaxy Quest silliness - its a much more enjoyable show. Only Seth McFarlane can save the Star Trek Universe now!
