I frankly think this movie is furthest from just a simple encounter, Thomas ventured into the unknown to find something he lost, lo and behold he finds it, the hunter is summoned, many men having perished at the hands of the hunter, he tumbled with the truth that defined him, and made it back to the familiar, the hunter couldn't let him off too easy, and taunts him to a last round to decide whom was to rule, the savage Thomas had become or ... Great story.
