I had to convince myself that I am watching Tulan and not Mulan, so as not to compare...It wasn't that bad (Mulan's my all-time fave Disney after all)... I am not so happy about not seeing the humor, songs and characters of the animated Mulan put to life, but I am ok with having to watch another version of it with a twist.
