This brought to mind another hidden life - that of Hans Fallada's hero in Alone in Berlin. Both stories of ordinary people, conducting quiet, heroic resistance. Both stories are utterly devastating and leave a deep and lasting impact . This film will be appreciated by many I'm sure. Personally I found it almost unbearable to watch.
