Fit Chum

I was given this book as a gift and had to write a review. I read it on a flight, a business trip. What a fast and smooth read. SPOILER ALERT. It is a political thriller that takes you down two paths. One story is about the aftermath of an EMP attack with a great southern feel. That part of the story occurs in the U.S., on the east coast, and covers action from the Carolinas to Michigan. Henry, a military guy, and his friends are helping a buddy defend his property, his business (a gun store), his family and friends, against an onslaught of looters and criminals who want what he has. The main currency in chaos: guns and ammo. The other story takes Jason, the main character, from his home in California to Europe to Afghanistan and beyond, on the hunt for the guilty party. The Chinese are blamed at first, but it’s not them. Although they’re made to pay, the real culprits have a bigger bill coming their way.

A great first novel, with an amazing story that could be true, may be true, and perhaps is a little true. The characters were well developed and the story flowed smoothly. It was a great read.

I got it for my boys.They loved it and so did I. It was educational and had beautiful illustrations. It's a great start to learning a little about AI, machine learning, and natural language processing.The future awaits our children. Better get them used to the science.

It’s rare to find a business book that is both educational and fun to read (a little humor here and there, plus it flows so well, with the quotes, and call outs and such.) I found the book to have tremendous value and helpful in my role managing large programs. I had seen presentations on this before and saw it in use and was curious how it actually works. So when the author presented at our work, I got a free copy (yay!). It’s good to have the process presented so clearly and without a bunch of filler pages. I found it interesting how something so simple can be so effective, and to think that no one had thought of it before for which these guys got a patent, twice. Jut WOW!
