Insufferable. Tries desperately hard to be interesting and fresh but is somehow predictable, pretentious and frustrating. Its desperation rubs off - I could sense the audience around me straining to laugh. It’s also uncomfortable to watch childlike Bella so heavily sexualised. Emma Stone’s acting is wooden and irritating. The set is supposed to be an imaginative new world but just doesn’t inspire or provoke. I struggled to find much to admire about this shallow and corny film.
