Don Cooper

This book is brilliant. I keep going back to it to re read parts. It makes sense of a complex series of events that in large part made our world the place it is. This war laid the foundation for what later would be called the British Empire. It began Pax Britannica. Not until WW1 was there a global conflict. There was a hundred year peace bringing prosperity to the developed world. This book is definitely for anyone wondering why we are the way we are.
