Lynette Franklin

This series will haunt me for weeks. It was stunning. The scenery was wonderful of course but you felt totally immersed in the Italy of the early 1960s. The camera lovingly lingered on every small detail, including cracked paint, worn stairs and gorgeous interiors. Being filmed in b&w was a master stroke as it evoked the mood of the era. And as for the lead actor - he portrayed Ripley's ruthlessness to perfection. You have to watch this series.
