Spoiler Alert! (This review contains spoilers). I normally don’t give such strong opinions about any book. But this book made me do it. Throughout the book, I couldn't get why Asher stalked Poppy. Why couldn’t he ask her to be with him? Although I got my answer in the end, I don’t think it changed my opinion about the book. First of all, Poppy let a stranger into her home, who wouldn’t even let her see his face or reveal his true identity. She even didn't ask him how he got into her home. Instead satisfied herself with lame excuses like she felt a strong pull towards him. I just can't digest such blind trust in someone you haven't seen. When she knew him as 'Sterling' she gave him a wide berth, despite knowing he, who was a stranger knew about her so much. But when Asher told her the truth she accused him of violating her privacy.
On the other hand, Asher himself had cameras installed in her home and watched her daily. But became mad when he found out, Eric also watched her through cameras while he did the same. Even though Eric's intentions were completely evil he also sexually abused Poppy. Asher thought about it but couldn't realize that it was his fault in the first place that Eric found access to the camera feeds. In the book, there was also confusion about the eye color of Poppy. At one place it was mentioned that her eyes were jade green. At the other place, she had blue eyes. It was a little bit too erotic for my taste. In conclusion this book is a pure example of double standards. I would recommend not to read it.
