This movie is inspired by a south Korean movie named Memories of murders (2003), that movie was based on how brutal a serial killer is, and how hard it was to find such killers in old times. For Indian audience,this movie is toned down for brutality,but the time period was wrong as we have advanced a lot. Both movies leave the ending open ,both killer and detective visiting the place of murder , detective looking into the camera , talking directly to the killer. Shows how many such cases are present where the culprits roams freely due to lack of evidence . Many people have rated this movie 1, due to its open ending,not having a conclusion, killing the suspense. But in real life many such thriller cases goes silent even in today's advance technology.
