Outstanding performance by Allison Janney. Well worth watching!

The film is quite "tame" and typical Hollywood sugarcoating of a far more sinister human Jacob was. The book however, gave indepth insight on how viciously cruel and numb the father was.

Ben is Back was a good film. It give almost no independence history of Ben's past. It does have a great deal of tenacity as Julia Robert's being the Mom who will not give up on her son.
