Personally, I don’t like this book, I’m only on page 27 and I don’t foresee myself continuing. It could be because I’m not a fan of sci-fi, I learned rather quickly when I couldn’t even make it 50 pages into The Hitchers Guide To The Galaxy. But this book is truly awful to me. No book aside from a dictionary, encyclopedia, thesaurus should not have a GLOSSARY/INDEX. If there are so many fictional words and made up hoshposh that you need an actual glossary to understand what your reading then you’re going to be confused trying to read and understand what the book is even talking about. Example number one, what is a Gom Jabbar? A poisoned needle used by Bene Gesserit Proctors. What a Bene Gesserit Proctor? The Bene Gesserit is an ancient school of mental/physical training mainly for females after the Butlerian Jihad destroyed the “thinking machines” and robots. There are just questions upon questions and flipping through a glossary to comprehend what I’m reading is not worth my time. I’d rather chuck this book in the trash and watch the movie.
