Thank you George Wilkinson for such a heartfelt non-fiction story. The lengths you took to solve the mystery behind your Uncle Lorne Marr's passing in France during WWII are immensely heartfelt. You capture so many deep feelings of others and yourself towards a relative that you never met yet bring him to life through letters, pictures, and phone calls only a good writer can.
Your story brought out conversations and questions to my dear husband who I often share when reading a well written book. e.g...."Men in the
Service, almost four years and never had a bullet fired in their direction and then seeing for the first time wounded and dying soldiers covered in blood. The Americans and their Harleys".
PETER'S ARGYLL made me appreciate what I have living in Canada thanks to our dear ancestors who fought so hard to Maintain.
Thank you again Mr. Wilkinson for enlightening me and I am sure others, who will read your book.
