EASILY THE BEST FANTASY SERIES IN TV HISTORY The most important thing to remember is that this is Tolkien. He is the leader in Epic Fantasy. His works are etched in Dialogue of the most exquisite nature, layers of intrigue that no other author evokes and mostly every little detail of every scene is beautiful. Now to the series, i must admit i also felt that it took some time to get into it but after a while i realized they were taking a very Tolkienesque approach. Even though the First few episodes were slow, they were beautiful and etched in gold silver so to speak. The acting is of the highest order, the writing almost as good as if Tolkien himself had written the script. The visuals on offer warrant every cent of the massive budget spent on this series. Helming the tale with the heroine Galadriel was a stroke of genius. Morfydd Clark is an actress that is talented beyond belief and nails Every nuance and emotes with excellence. There are some drawbacks without doubt, the story does take ages to get going and sometimes despite the grandeur on offer it can be frustrating. The final episode though excellent feels as though it leaves many questions unanswered. That I guess is what they were going for as it will keep us eagerly awaiting season2. Nonetheless in my mind is really the best Fantasy series in TV history.
