Too young to remember Jesus Movement period portrayed in film. I am a believer in Jesus. However, this film lacked depth and the focus was misapplied. There were solid moments of on point dialogue on “closed doors” of judgement of the religious and churches, as well as the saving power and life giving freedom Jesus provides to the lost and broken. But, overall a shallow feel good story about Smith and Laurie. I had higher expectations after watching Jonathan Roumie in The Chosen. Jesus Movement did nothing to deepen my faith or to “move” a non-believer or searcher. A grossly missed opportunity to better explain the “why” of “the truth”, His truth. The real Jesus Movement is not the fad it’s portrayed in the movie but Eternal.
