SPOILERS. The first season of Monster was so amazing and this series just keeps getting worse and less accurate each season with added nonsense. Firstly, the Adeline storyline is completely inaccurate. Second, the necro stuff he never did and confirmed this with multiple lie detectors. (To this end there is no point in overly and graphically detailing him having a hard time pulling out of the corpses when he’s “finished”). I also do not understand the voice and pitch choice at all. If you listen to the actual recordings of Gein, his voice was a deeper and simple midwestern accent. Also whenever Charlie gets louder or annoyed his accent goes straight up Irish and not Wisconsin at all. It’s very weird and distracting. When he is being interrogated the low volume super mousey high pitch is almost gross listening to. He reminds me of the boyfriend in the movie Shallow Hal. It’s just so bad. The over insertion of Hitchcock is also just not entertaining and way too much of a push to prolong an already poor season. He also never consulted on Bundy which is a strange add on to try to give fans a taste of what we will never get in the lost Mindhunter seasons. I really did not like this show but Laurie Metcalf was good as the mother. Charlie does LOOK like him, but they had 80% of inaccurate details that didn’t make this enjoyable.
