Putting aside the fact that the plot goes out of its way to force the Harry Potter nostalgia into an epilogue using a tired time travel theme (think Avengers Engame meets Harry Potter) and that the actors do their best to portray the original characters and heart of the Potter anthology, this is not a production I would want to see again. Yes, your kids will get a kick out of levatation, dementors, and wand play, but this is not the elevated musical theater of Broadway. Also there were many lovable characters who were left out (such as Sirius Black). Considering that the wizards/witches use brooms, they also missed a huge comedic opportunity to poke fun at Wicked down the block. The the visual effects were creative and the sets were well done, but I left feeling confused and drained by the plot dynamics. As a side note, the theather would not allow outside food, and forced us to throw away take way containers of food from lunch prior to the show. Also they would not offer their 2 for 1 deal that came out a few days later, which I understand is their "policy" but for a family-friendly production, they're kind of unreasonable.
