"Navillera" is by far, the most moving and heartwrenching Korean drama that I have ever watched. The main character is a 70 year old man who is following his childhood dream of dancing ballet. He is very likeable, and relatable in many aspects.
He is your father, who sacrifices a lot just to give you a good life.
He is your grandfather, who supports you in every endeavor just to see you happy.
He is your friend, who stands by you when others have abandoned you.
And he is the child in all of us, who once dreamed of becoming something.
With every episode, I am reminded of many things:
1. Do not let what other people say control the way you live.
2. Do not crush anyone's dreams, just because they seem silly to others.
3. You do not have to be highly skilled, you just have to be passionate with what you do.
4. Love your family. Understand them. Support them. Encourage them.
5. Forgive and be kind to those who have done you wrong. You never know what they are going through.
6. Always appreciate everything that you have in every season of your life.
7. It's never too late to do what makes you happy.
I recommend this show to people of all ages. As of this writing, I have already brought my keyboard downstairs, because my mother expressed that it's also her childhood dream to be able to play the piano. If you decide to watch this, I hope you will be inspired as well. 😊
