It was entertaining fun, but it was utter nonsense and made no attempts to abide by the past of the franchise or any amount of logic or reason. It was definitely better than the horrible prequel so it's got that going for it.
It also seemed like there was a bit of cowardly concession to the worst of internet trolls.
