I am not a huge fan of the hostess but wanted to review the content. 1) to me there is no point preparing food if you don’t provide proper recipes somewhere. I understand it’s not a cookery show but I think some basic recipes that could be referenced would be helpful. 2) there are some nice tips and touches and I enjoyed the more expert guests. Visually it’s very pretty and luxurious. Not at all relatable, but I didn’t tune in to see relatable content! 3) I think Doria should have appeared. She’s mentioned frequently and I think it would have added authenticity rather than introducing friends not known yet. 4) as someone used to the camera Meghan works very well with it. However…. 1) you can make something luxurious without trying to invite envy. 2) the way Meghan spoke to some of her guests, and looked at them, was uncomfortable. She cuts Mindy down to size over her surname. If a friend spoke to me like that, I’d walk off the set. 3) it feels very try-hard. Some of the practical tips aren’t new but I enjoyed them, but it feels very much like this is a perfect mother, in a perfect life, and I think the audience would warm to the hostess much more if she let her guard down.
