I've read a third of the book. I don't like not finishing books especially expensive hardbacks, but I am not interested in any of the characters. They are one dimensional boring and not anyone I would care to meet or get to know. The Author is pretty descriptive about the surroundings, but the lack of character development and suspense is leaving me cold. I'm finding so many of the celebrity book club choices are lacking. The book cover is really the best thing about the book. It reminded of the Shining, that's why the book called to me.
