Not as good as the first, but far more consistent in gameplay. Story is weaker and it’s missing the charm and silliness. The game does its own thing and is at its best when you’re wandering around and looking for random adventures. The map is impressively dense and there is a very noticeable intentionality to the terrain. The game does an excellent job showing you where you can go, and finding secrets feels intuitive and rewarding. The combat is more or less exactly the same, but climbing on larger creatures works a little bit better. My biggest complaint is that there is far less variety to the enemies than I feel like there should be. If you liked the first game, you’ll like this one as well.
