I've read the original novel and manhwa multiple times and I can proudly state that they are well thought out masterpieces, but this? Horrible. If I had an option to give a negative amount of stars, I would. The acting is good and the cgi is also decent but that doesn't make the fact that so many important points of the original work was drastically changed. Kim Dokja relationship with his mother is complicated and important, this movie completely butchered that. Yoo sangah picking up a sword and choosing to fight is very important to her character, but of course, this movie fell into the old misogynistic stereotypes and made her a healer. There are so many more points about this movie I could criticize but it would be pointless. This sorry excuse of an adaptation does not deserve to be put onto a similar pedestal as the masterpiece the Omniscient reader novel and mahwa was. In conclusion, this movie was a horrible adaptation.
