I want to start by saying it's a drama crime tv show so there is obviously a lot of cheesy and/or unrealistic moments in The Rookie. However, almost every scene is complex and thrilling in their unique ways. The dialogue outside of officer talk is very relatable and down to earth. The way they go about their policing teaches the viewer what it may be like to be a rookie and what their policies may actually be like in real life (to an extent). The acting is solid for the most part. The camera work is unique and makes it feel like real life at times. There are many thrilling, dramatic, and heartfelt scenes in the show, and so far through 2 seasons I think it's excellent!
