I want to start my review with saying I did not like this game at first. I felt the combat to be weird and not as enjoyable as people hyped it up to be. I had never played the first game and saw the new one all over socials so decided to pick it up. I finished the tutorial and completed the first “real” mission of the campaign. Nothing wowed me at all at least not for $70. Then I went into multiplayer and thought that might sway me. I went in trying guns and blazing and got nothing in return and figured I was just bad and the whole experience wasn’t for me. After a few days I left it alone but kept seeing videos of lore for war hammer on TikTok, instagram, and YouTube. Eventually I stopped skipping them and watched. And holy crap did it make a difference. I instantly got hooked and invested. I decided to start the game up again and try it again. I didn’t compare it to other games like I did before. This time I just played it for what it was. And now I’m hooked. I love it and can’t stop playing it. I love how original it is. You can’t compare it to others games because it’s its own thing. I highly recommend diving into space marine 2 and it’s extensive lore.
