This live at action version of The Little Mermaid was AMAZING. The color, the singing, the actors, the costumes everything was genuinely perfect. Halle was an outstanding pick for the role of Ariel with how she was able to connect to the character and really bring her to life. Not to mention her voice!! Sis was singing her HEART out like the movie overall was just exquisite. The only reason why I can possibly think as to why people are down rating this movie is because Ariel is Black. It’s beyond stupid that so many grown adults hate this movie so much because of that. Especially when she isn’t the only character that was changed and made of color in this film. Aside from Ariel, 2 of the 7 daughters of Triton were made of color along with the queen. So frankly if you’re looking forward to seeing this movie and worried about the negative reviews….it’s just cause they’re coming from racist who are mad.
