ONE SIXTH CAVE

A fairly inoffensive action thriller from the first half of the 90’s. There was a trend at the time of dabbling into the Northern Irish troubles with the IRA etc. Now after 30 years I finally got around to seeing it and I enjoyed the tone, action and Jeff Bridges performance for the most part. Sadly Tommy Lee Jones seems to be doing his own thing by mixing a northern irish accent and a Scottish one. It’s pretty jarring and he comes across as a bit of a discount Joker, hellbent on revenge without any real explanation as to how he is so well versed in the Boston Bomb Squads tactics or so well versed in everyones location. But overall its an ok romp that you will watch until the end but be warned, if you hate U2 you won’t enjoy this film much. They are pretty much the soundtrack.
