The Photograph is well written, well acted movie and though the cast was 95% black, this is a movie for all cultures.
It’s a love story mingled with the challenges of parenting, of lost love, of regret for being less than perfect while being pretty damn good all the same. It’s a story about making amends for our past in a dignified manner.
The fact that it blends southern Louisiana and NYC with a dash of London mixed with some good music makes it all the better.
I scored this movie a 4-star and not a 5-star because it lacked a sidebar character or scene that rattles one’s emotions, either good or bad.
All in all, a very good movie that reaches across many relatable characters for many different cultures.
