It’s sad that a show with such a great production quality and a great leading man is ruined by a few things. Eddie is great to watch, but the plot quickly bogs down with sub plots. The MI6 is bad enough but the Family subplot boarders on comedic, the wife and family bumble through their scenes. The leading actresses for both the wife and the MI6 agent are terrible in different ways. I think that the MI6 scenes suffer from bad writing but the wife is just dry, stiff, and stupid. She lives in a giant mansion for weeks alone at a time and only suddenly starts to question things…. Unbelievable. But what really kills the pressure of the show is the terrible soundtrack. It makes what could be a tense and harrowing scene into what feels like a bad mixtape, the opening song is terrible and that sets the stage for the rest of the soundtrack. Just a complete mixed vibe. Overall the show tries to appear slick and sophisticated, but as the episodes go on the plot begins to unravel and the holes become bigger. Good idea bad execution.
