Spoilers will follow.
It seemed rushed.
I loved the settings and it is an interesting story/plot, but did the script writers even take note of the first one? There was a decent built up at first, although the whole tactical team using not tactics thing threw me off for a bit. I don't mind the whole "no more immortals" and "the last immortal can take away immortality" thing seemed rushed. In the first on Nile stabbed Andy in the chest and she healed it and laughed. Hell, she even healed during the flight fight and drinking enough to put Florida Man into a 6 week coma wasn't a dent in her. But oh no, 1 guy got his arm cut in a practice fight, but everything stopped for him right then and there. Then when the cat got out of the bag, he straight up committed suicide by guard for not reason but to die as his friends got captured. I guess he though "screw those guys?"
A note on time, the first was 2 hours. This was 90 minutes, and I'm being generous. The end felt SUPER RUSHED. Another 20-25 minutes would have helped IMMENSELY with transitions, and story development. It wouldn't have to be combat focused, but some Discord/Quynh/History development would have helped. Assimilation scenes would have been good. Discord dissappeared for 500 years, Where?? How many immortals are there? Where did this ancient prophecy come from? I'm wanting there to be a 3rd one, but if it is just Old Guard 2-Part II, I will still watch it but a little miffed.
