My partner and I watched the movie; non-D&D and D&D fanatic respectively. We both came away loving the movie.
It did the D&D lore justice. Acting was great, comedy wasn't overdone like marvel movies and it was hilarious. The SFX were great and the storyline was good.
D&D players will appreciate the references to the tabletop game whilst people like my partner who have never played won't be confused.
10/10.
