I hated these spoiled girls so much, only the cinematigraphy, set, and costumes kept me from walking out. The movie was hard to follow, Amy seemed like a 35 year old through the whole film. Laurie seemed like a 16 year old creeper and I hated his character (as well as Amy's) but I dont remember hating them 45 years ago when I read the book.
