One of my favourite games this year, and added to my "best games I've ever played" list.
The Oldest House is extremely atmospheric and immersive, and I've loved exploring every part of it.
The dialogue/script isn't as good, but the voice actors deliver a decent performance.
The facial animations in cut scenes aren't amazing either, but passable. I consider this minor though, and doesn't detract from the exploration and gameplay.
If you are a PC gamer, I would recommend waiting to play the game until you can afford an RTX graphics card, because Control has the best reflections, lighting and shadowing in any game to date.
