The idea of a greater purpose resonates through solid story building and a fair attempt at creating empathy and compassion for the characters. A roller coaster, start was not the best way to build a backstory for the arching concepts of the film BUT afterwards it very much redeemed itself, and it was epic. Very good movie. Good story, good twists, a REAL purpose, not just a kitschy throw away movie like some of the films Jared Leto has unfortunately been attached to. Past Tron films felt very nostalgic but very commercialized, this film holds up on its own and will be a great turning point for a franchise that could build into a memorable collection that will stand the test of time and bridge generations of fans. Highly recommend. Side note Trent Reznor composition for this film was stellar, elevated the whole experience to a new height. This is a win for Disney.
