I have mixed opinion's on Dying light 2 and I'll address both sides, positive and negatives. Upon release, there were major bugs which caused some key gameplay elements to not exist or just become unusable. I know it's common for newly released games to have bugs upon release but for the bug I've experienced and many others who were on the ps4 was inexcusable. The bug I had experienced and others, caused the multiplayer function to not work making co-op not possible. Multiplayer is a key element in gameplay arguably a core element in the dying light series and is the most favoured thing throughout the community which for some, co-op is why most people purchased dying light 2 for that experience for the enticing open world exploration and progression with your friends. Although for I was left playing solo throughout the entirety of my playthrough missing out on that experience and is solely the reason why I disliked the game and why it affected my overall opinion greatly, more then any other bug/s I've experienced. Moving on from that there was a bug which made the city part of the map not load and cause you to free fall into the abyss and at some point, it'll put you in a endless state as the safehouse would've also despawned besides some few objects causing constant free fall. The other bugs were not as major and are common bugs in many open world games so I won't critize on that and will not have it affecting my rating but instead my overall take. Onto the postive side, the gameplay was smooth and had a nice feel, the character development was amazing and the overall world building was mind blowing. The story was also a little eh sometimes a bit all over the place and at most times me forgetting why we came here to the city in the first place and the main objective but was still enjoyable and had that nice little dying light touch to it. Overall I rated this a 3/5 which may just be me being biased but in actuality if I was being completely honested I would go as low as 2/5 just because of that co-op bug metioned which ruined my experienced but those bugs have been patched already so I'll bump it up to 3/5 just for those newcomers.
