Personally loved this film, I feel like it pays a bit of homage to Rosemary's Baby. The camera angles and the lurking sense of unease made it feel like something you'd watch on the news in the 90s (when I was a kid) and put the fear in you like a savage animal is on the loose and no one has a clue how to handle it. It feels like the devil is on your shoulder the whole time. Cage's character is insanity in a form that I don't think many of us have ever seen before, original, odd, unpredictable, and visually terrifying. The timeline moves back and forth leaving us constantly trying to put the puzzle pieces together but almost not knowing how to get started. Overall great acting from everyone. Cage's character is just a tower of madness who you find hard to hate because he's not directly hateful or completely morally unsound.
