My kids wanted to watch Pinocchio last night, so I happened to come across this version. I was a bit unsure as the image looked radically different than your typical Pinocchio movie but we went with it anyway. And wow. This blew me away. My kids loved it for what it was, but as an adult I was absolutely enthralled by the storytelling along with the psychological and philosophical themes. Incredible version, hands down My favourite. It's actually quite surreal how they depicted the story. I highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a good family movie night. Be prepared to have to explain things to your kids. I had to explain a couple things and my oldest really listened and took it in. Excellent movie.
