(contains some spoilers!) Season 1 was fine, but season 2 just didn't make sense anymore. The series starts by introducing a fairly interesting murder mystery, just to never mention it again all throughout season 1 in favor of a sappy romance plot where big height differences and the love interest's childlike body get fetishized by the writers of the show and the characters. Some characters have interesting backstories, but the show only explores two of them in more detail. Season 2 reheats the murder mystery, but it gets solved quickly without any real tension. The rest of the season contains more brooding from the main character. Most of the problems could be solved by a single call to the police (which does exist in this universe! But they never show up anywhere, not even to investigate the murder), instead we get a bunch of low-stakes fighting and big talks about honor and justice. The love interest gets sidelined completely and barely appears in this season.
