The ratings compelled me to watch. It started slow for me but it got real in season 4. I'm from Nashville and I read where some of season 4 storyline inspiration may have came from Project Return. I have seen 1st hand how this program helps with reentry services and it has helped my family on more than one occasion. The system is stacked against those after incarceration in ways one without firsthand experience could ever understand. I'm not sure I've seen a halfway house as nice as the one in the show or a group of guys that work together the way these men do to support one another, what a beautiful concept. If only a place like this existed for my son when he needed it, before he passed away last year. I have been moved beyond measure for both the tragedies and triumphs for Dan and his family and the knowing how real this can be.
