I'm being generous in giving 2 star's to this movie. Only because Jennifer Hudson can really sing & Forest Whitaker is an amazing actor. Otherwise this movie was extremely uninformative & boring. The series GENIUS was 100 times better. The acting, directing, and music was spot on in that series. Mind you it was reported that the Franklin family was not happy with the series. I think because some secrets were leaked. Whereas with the movie RESPECT the "dark" things were left to viewers imagination. TO MANY MISSED DETAILS & A REAL WASTE OF TIME & MONEY.😡👎
