I am finding the TV series difficult to watch having seen 8 episodes (of 12). The seemingly endless emotional torture of the lead character Marianne is what makes it so difficult. In her mind she has found the one, Conel. While Conel clearly values get friendship, her deep feelings are not reciprocated. The character of Conel, will make some viewers just want to screen at him "What are you doing? Just look what you're throwing away!". Not sure that in real, many women would keep going back for more the way she does in the series. Would they? But I keep getting drawn back in, wanting to know what happens next.
