Just finished Jailhouse Lawyer by Calvin Duncan and Sophie Cull, and wow… this book lit a fire in me.
I’d heard the term “jailhouse lawyer” before and thought I kinda knew what it meant—but this book opened my eyes in a whole new way. Calvin’s story, and the work he and others did inside Angola, is nothing short of heroic. Fighting for justice, hope, and freedom—not just for themselves, but for so many others.
It’s powerful, it’s real, and it’s proof that even in the darkest places, people can rise up and make a difference.
Highly recommend to anyone who needs a strong dose of inspiration, truth, and hope.
