It’s frankly horrible. The instance of rape he is put on trial for is extremely mild, literally nothing, barely crosses the line. With the prior instance revealed in flashbacks, she was willing if he would have been a bit gentler. Was it wrong? Yes. Does it pale in comparison to the literal grooming gangs being allowed to run wild in Britain, raping abusing destroying killing and peeing on the graves of children, and never ever being prosecuted for it? The idea that we should focus on and condemn these extraordinarily minor instances, which could really be a learning opportunity for kind men, when there are massive, gargantuan, monstrous things actually going on in the world, being allowed to happen, makes me incandescently angry. I say that as both a woman and the wife of a Muslim man. This is all smoke and mirrors; Netflix is nothing but propaganda. They want to completely defang, declaw, and demoralize anyone who might actually protect you, and put distrust between the sexes, leaving the way open for truly evil men to come in and utterly destroy us all. Don’t let them distract you from the truth.
