A tedious succession of inexplicable events revolving around a selfish, narcissistic protagonist whose immaturity and chauvinism are infuriating. The main character’s inflated ego and smug overconfidence are never justified by actual merit, making it difficult to invest in his journey.
If the filmmakers intended to craft a portrait of an unlikeable, self-serving individual, they’ve succeeded, the characterisation is uncomfortably realistic. However, this alone doesn’t make for compelling viewing. Without any redeemable qualities or meaningful character development to anchor the narrative, the film ultimately feels like a waste of time.
