Firstly, I humbly salute the real hero, Major Mukund Varadarajan sir, wife Indu Ma'am and daughter and parents . Many wars have been fought, and many heroes have selflessly sacrificed their lives for our nation. Soldiers continue to guard and protect our borders for our safety and security. Like Major Mukund sir, countless heroes have fallen in service to our country since independence.
I sometimes wonder if, without movies and these portrayals, our countrymen show enough respect to these soldiers—both on and off duty—and remember them when they become immortalized through their sacrifices in wars and counter-insurgency operations. Wars are fought between nations, yet it is the soldiers and their families who bear the impact, becoming victims in circumstances beyond their control.
When a soldier falls in the line of duty, the family's backbone and source of support are lost, and though they may receive compensatory benefits, nothing can truly replace the presence of a loved one. The least we can do as citizens of this country is to show respect to these soldiers and their families.
Movies like this one should be shown to students and NCC cadets to foster a sense of respect and honor for those who serve. My heartfelt salute to the entire team of this movie. SK Sir and Sai Ma’am performed superbly, and the way the Director scripted this film is truly heartwarming.
