This book is a wonderful read. It’s an amusing look into the mind of an early teen teetering on the brink of taking life seriously, but still young enough to be completely self-centered. Each of the 3 male characters has his own charm and the girl, while her appearance is brief, gives us something to ponder. Short and sweet the book is a delight. Another brilliant effort - and sadly his last - by Gary Paulsen.
