The visuals were very good, and the ambient music was lovely, but the story was disjointed and the metaphors were muddled, at best. The voice actress had solid delivery, but the director / writer should have hired a better voice actor, and perhaps trimmed down the purple prose. Overall, the voiceovers were distracting, and the story was weak (albeit heartfelt and earnest, and perhaps affecting if you're in the mood); I'd recommend playing it on mute, but then you'll miss the quality music. The final area was clearly made later, as the graphics were superior, but even the earlier areas were pretty good, with strong visual impact, good stylized design, and surprising environmental storytelling. The UI was pleasantly minimalist, but the gameplay is vague and janky, leading to unclear goals and humorous glitches. Overall, a mixed bag, but a worthwhile experience if purchased at a discount.
