I’ve watched the three seasons of Emily in Paris, and I find it refreshing., fun, romantic and intelligent. Unlike so much in the entertainment industry, it’s devoid of violence, and it’s about the story and not about blowing up helicopters and throwing Molotov cocktails at cars.
Thank you to the original author of this charming story.
Mindy and Emily’s high fashion and couture clothing (and they only wear each outfit once) doesn’t make sense and the writers never explained this.
I loved most of Mindy’s singing. Especially “Chandelier.” That was amazing.
I feel that one mistake is that we got to see the death of Mindys and life, but not so much with Emily. Emily comes across as mostly perfect without much depth or self disclosure. however, we learned about what makes Mindy tick, we learn about her family, and we feel much closer to her struggles now. Mindy is multi-faceted where Emily is not so much.
I lived in Paris for a year, and I have to say that the weather really stinks. Cold and wet most of the year.
There is beauty, art and great food… but it’s a big city. It’s true about Parisians… they are usually rude, to anyone who is not a Parisian. However, outside of Paris it’s a completely different story. The rest of the country is pretty friendly.
Don’t go to Paris in the winter.
Bottom line, though, is that it is a charming, hilarious, refreshing and beautiful film.
