The acting was outstanding, notably because the performers had to learn to sing and play multiple instruments like their characters. Timothee and Ed Norton did a fantastic job of this, the former also capturing the complexities of Dylan’s character and his fluid approach to relationships. Everything about the movie struck home and transported me. Definitely see on the big screen.
