At first I avoided the show, 'another teenage drama'. I love Rachel Griffin so gave it a go. I was not disappointed. I always wondered why they never made a female version of Lord of the Flies and now they have. The individual stories of all the girls are compelling, it shows that all girls, no matter what the background have to endure constant pressures from family and men to conform and behave. I have 3 sisters so I know the competitive nature that is pushed on girls from a young age. I can't say enough good things about this show and would encourage anyone to watch it esp young women. These girls are fierce, resilient and independent.
